Ronald M. Ulander

Ronald M. Ulander, 69, of West Newton, died Monday, March 12, 2018.  He was born July 31, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Harold and Faye (Malm) Ulander.  Ron was a second generation master carpenter, who built and added value to countless properties in the West Newton and surrounding communities.  Many who knew him have remarked, “You know if Ronnie built it, it was done right.”  He was a member of the VFW of West Newton, Sutersville Moose, Slovenian Club and Liederkranz Club, both of Collinsburg.  Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Linda (Suchko) Ulander; his daughter, Lauren Iacoboni and husband, Steve; a grandson, Benjamin Iacoboni ; a brother, Kenneth L. Ulander and wife, Charlene; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.  Ron was brief with words, but certainly enduring in generosity, kindness and know-how.  Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 901 Vine St. West Newton, where funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday.  Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com
