Jack Allen Leake 71, of Greensburg, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at home.  He was born April 2, 1946 son of the late William G. “Red” and Mary E. “Betty” (Foote) Leake.  He was predeceased by brothers William and Stephen Leake.  Surviving are a brother, Ronald Leake and wife, Dolores “Dee Dee”, of Texas; a loving daughter, Bethany Myers and husband, Richard and delightful grandson, Austin Myers (who he loved and cherished beyond words), of Scottdale; a special family close to his heart, Kathleen Master of Hempfield, and sons Ronald Master of Jeannette, Scott Master of Greensburg, and Steven Master and wife, Jennifer of Avonmore, and their families; and several nieces and nephews in Texas and Vermont.  Upon graduating from Greensburg Salem High School in 1964, Jack entered the Navy during the Vietnam War.  After an honorable discharge, his working career was with Consolidated Coal Company, from which he retired as shift foreman.  Jack was the all-around handyman, gardener, caretaker and friend to many; had a unique sense of humor and tried his best to keep all of the sports bars in the area in business.  He did not dwell on the past or the future, but embraced the journey as he went along.  He was a very giving and thoughtful man with many great qualities who will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.  As per Jack’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka KS, 66675; also a random act of kindness would be very much appreciated.  Arrangements entrusted to the J. William McCauley, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 901 Vine St. West Newton.  Condolences may be left at http://www.mccauleyfuneralhome.com
